Monday - Friday Speaker (pm): Bill Crowder
Worship Leader: Charly Sommers
Mission Focus: RBC Ministries
Wintley Phipps is a world-renowned vocal artist, education activist, motivational speaker, pastor, and CEO and Founder of the U.S. Dream Academy. For his work at the U.S. Dream Academy he has received numerous service awards among them: The Excellence in Mentoring for Program Leadership Award from MENTOR/National Mentoring Partnerships; the Oprah Winfrey Angel Network Use Your Life Award; and Philanthropist of the Year Award from The National Center for Black Philanthropy, Inc.
For more than twenty-eight years, he has traveled the world delivering messages of hope, advocacy, and equality to many thousands of people. A video of Phipps performing "Amazing Grace" has enjoyed over seven million views on YouTube. Notably, one of his most recent renditions of that same song came at the 56th Inaugural Presidential Prayer Service on January 21, 2009.
Bill Crowder (Sunday Speaker & Mon. - Fri. Speaker PM)
Crowder joined the RBC Ministries staff after more than 20 years in the
pastorate stretching from West Virginia to southern California to west
Michigan. As Vice President of Teaching Content, Bill works closely with
Mart DeHaan providing evaluation of RBC’s biblical content for their
various ministry efforts. Additionally, Bill spends much of his time in a
Bible-conference ministry around the world, serving RBC offices and
their outreach to their local communities, and in pastors’ encouragement
meetings in North America.
Bill is a contributing writer for the Our Daily Bread devotional and has written many Bible study booklets for RBC’s Discovery Series. He has also published several books with Discovery House Publishers, the latest being Let’s Talk: Praying Your Way To A Deeper Relationship With God, released January 1, 2014. Bill has spent the last several years as the on-air teaching chaplain for the weekly national radio program “Sports Spectrum,” and recently joined the “Discover The Word” daily radio team as co-host with Mart DeHaan and Elisa Morgan.
On the personal front, Bill and his wife, Marlene, have been married for over 35 years and have five adult children, most of whom are now married—which means that they have a growing legion of grandchildren. To relax, Bill enjoys playing golf whenever possible, and follows sports, especially the English Premier League’s Liverpool Football Club.
Sunday Speaker PM: Marvin Williams
Marvin Williams began writing for Our Daily Bread in 2007. He also writes for another RBC Ministries devotional, Our Daily Journey. Marvin is senior teaching pastor at Trinity Church in Lansing, Michigan. Educated at Bishop College in Dallas, Texas, and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, he has also served in several pastoral positions in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He and his wife, Tonia, have three children.
Weekday Speakers: Michael Card (Mon. - Fri. / AM)
In a career that spans 25 years, Michael Card has
recorded over 20 albums, authored or co-authored over 14 books, hosted
two radio programs, and written for a wide range of magazines. While he
has penned such favorites as "El Shaddai," "Love Crucified Arose," and
"Emmanuel," he never imagined selling more than 4 million albums or
writing over 19 #1 hits. The popularity of his work seemed a stark
contrast to his goal in life, to simply, and quietly teach the Bible.

Worship Leader: Charly Sommers
Charly Sommers has served as Summer Worship Director since 2007. He and his wife Christina live in Cincinnati, OH with their five children. Together they serve on staff with the Navigators at the University of Cincinnati. Charly has been a musician for most of his life, and loves serving at Maranatha during the summer.
